The Local Godz logo was designed with a few things in mind. Marc and James requested that the logo was not corporate whatsoever. They wanted something that was bold, authentic, larger-than life, and grassroots. It needed to convey a sense of heritage with the call back to the Ding character so that it would ground the logo. It's target audience is Millenials to Gen-Z where there is a huge trend in typographical design and type as form.

I sketched out the logo by referencing the Ding character in its original form and combining it with the words Local & Godz. I also experimented with other types of forms and saw how the title would look designed similarly to the Supreme or Tapout logo.

The solution above is what I came to in the end and is what the clients approved. I aimed to combine the podcast's title with the Ding's overall shape. So that the logo would stand out and have some foundation, I made sure to use bold lines to spell out Local Godz. With this in mind, I wanted everything to sit comfortably so that people would know that they can also sit in with the podcast and the hosts.
